The Deadline is here! KUCCPS 2017/18 online registration/application/revision (step by step)

Like everyone in Kenya, am waiting for the last minute rush. Huh! no! KUCCPS announced the commencement of online application/revision for 2017/2018 placement cycle for degree and diploma course choices, that started  on 30th Jan   by the individual candidates.

The deadline is said to be on 17th Feb, 2016, though there are rumors that it might be extended due to public request. To apply/revise  your courses online, this is the procedure;

Procedure KUCCPS Application/Registration online

Before you begin, here are the requirements.

  1. Birth Certificate number
  2. KCSE Index Number
  3. Birth Certificate No.
  4. 1500/- in  your Mpesa.

NB: You will be charged a sum of Ksh. 1,000 if you had applied in School and Ksh. 1,500 if you had not applied in school.

Step 1:

First, visit the KUCCPS Official registration portal (This link opens in a new tab).

Step 2:

Key in your index number in the first box,  followed by the exam year in the second box. Trial and error here! Use your Birth certificate number as the password, and if it goes wrong, don’t worry. All is well. Use your KCPE index number instead.

NOTE: Index numbers are written in full, i.e from your school code to your position index.

Payment is done before revision/Application

KUCCPS accepts payment via MPESA Paybill number 820201

  1. a) Pay the required amount through your mobile phone by Mpesa following the instructions below:
  • Go to M-PESA on your phone.
  • Select Pay Bill option.
  • Enter Business no. 820201.
  • Enter KCSE Examination year followed by 11 Digit INDEX NO e.g.201401234567891 as your account number.
  • Enter the Amount.
  • Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send.
  1. b) You will receive a confirmation message from M-Pesa. Don’t delete the message! Now copy the confirmation code and enter it in the space provided.

Programmes

After successful payment and confirmation, click on Click on  Applications/Revision. You can tap PROGRAMMES & COURSES to check courses offered at various universities. In order to access a  programme straight away,  click on the group within which it falls in e.g. if it is Education click on that category. Click on the programme that you want to pursue. Copy the course code and paste it in the application spaces provided. Repeat this for other courses and when done, MAKE SURE YOU LOG OUT, IT’S VERY IMPORTANT!
